| Currently Reading: Ulysses (Vintage International) i wonder how many hardcore Ulysses (*James Joyce) creeps are out there? maybe not in the millions but the number would nevertheless surprise you. for any of you interested, i encourage this book - it is as i have heard, a work of a genious.

| My Freshman Year of Higher Learning is finally over. Wow,...I can't believe it went by so quicky. I'm speechless. | | |
| well i suppose it's a good time to post, if anyone still reads these things anyway. it is GOOD FRIDAY and i'm excited because the weather outside is just simply beautiful. any more words would not do justice. well anywho, i was thinking of writing about a thought provoking movie i just saw this past weekend. it's name of course is PHONE BOOTH. now most of you probably think, WHAT? that crapy piece of crap? it actually was entertaining and the writer, Henry Cohen, instills more questions in the movie than answers. i like that of course and encourage anyone to watch this short 81 minute flick. but on the other hand, things in the LIPTONIAN nest are going well and school for me is just about over. next week exams. what are you guys doing for your summer? | | |
| Have you ever felt really really inferior?...THANK GOD that it's those humbling experiences where HE allows you to gain so much wisdom and see HIS Grace. | | |
| hmmm...this anti-war stuff is driving me crazy. first of all let me start with a disclaimer. disclaimers are always good to start with. i am speaking in reference to the information i have personally gathered from sources who proclaim facts not opinions. everyone assuredly knows the deal with IRAQ is questionable, is it not? repeatedly i observe individuals stand up to the microphone (for instance OPRAH) and say that "we have no right in going to IRAQ because who are we (as AMERICANS of course) to impose our democracy upon the nation, it is what the people of IRAQ want." this is blantantly a very ignorant statement whoever and wherever it comes from. i would ask this person whether he/she thought it right to remove Adolf Hitler out of control? unfortunetly there are many parallels between these two totalitarian leaders. how do i know? well lets observe the KURD'S situation objectively. let's also observe the War camp prisoners of Hussein and see what biological mutations Hussein's doctors subjected these men to. or lets look at an Iraqi man's testimony about how is father was executed right before his eyes for the reason that his father refused to join Hussein's military. people in IRAQ are in oppression. the question for those who aren't ignorant and know all this stuff is, "is it our diplomatic obligation to POLICE the world for these atrocities?" again i would ask this, do we need another strike upon our own NATION ten times worse than 9/11 in order to take action. the whitehouse administration is taking the pre-emptive strike in order to decrease the bad looking odds of terriost strikes to occur in the future. or should we stay in our little nook and worry of our economic situation because we, as AMERICANS, aren't spoiled enough and need to be concerned for our financial welfare rather than being involved in something that will probably come back to haunt us. putting off this War would do more harm than ignoring it. | | |
